Chase EzellBacked by nine years of project management and a passion for sustainability, Chase serves as Senior Project Manager for Quest Sustainability Solutions. With an eye for detail, Chase currently manages LEED certification projects totaling over 3.3M square feet (combined) under the LEED Green Building: Operations & Maintenance and Green Building: Design and Construction (Version 3) programs.  Chase has contributed to LEED Projects in the United States, Mexico and Canada.    Previously Chase managed projects spanning a variety of industries including energy generation, energy management and real estate. Chase is a member of the USGBC North Texas Chapter and Chair of the Chapter’s Existing Building Committee.  He holds dual degrees from Texas Tech University – a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts.

Tim MurrayTim Murray is the Sustainability Director at Apollo BBC, Inc. and is an active participant in the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), currently serving as a member of the national Chapter Steering Committee and a voting member of the national LEED Steering Committee. He is Past Chair of the USGBC South Central Regional Committee and previously served two years as Chair of the local USGBC Texas Gulf Coast Chapter. He is also the co-chair of the Greater Houston Partnership’s Green Building Sub-committee.

Green Operations Guide
Developed to assist multi-tenant office owners, managers and service providers in reducing the environmental impact associated with CRE operations, content from the Green Operations Guide will be discussed, as well as, best practices used in LEED EB implementation based on experience gained from over 130 certifications completed by CBRE, the primary author of the Green Operations Guide. (1 GBCI LEED-specific credit)

 

Katie Rothenberg:  As a Program Manager for CBRE’s Sustainability Programs Group, Katie Rothenberg consults with clients to help them meet their environmental performance goals. In addition to supporting CBRE’s global sustainability platform, her main role is planning and executing LEED® for Existing Buildings certification projects.  Prior to joining CBRE, Katie worked for the U.S. Green Building Council, where she managed programs and outreach to the commercial real estate market nationally, working closely with industry leaders and major associations to increase the knowledge, tools, financial incentives and implementation of green building practices across a variety of private sector entities.

Patrick KellyDuring his long civil service career Mr. Kelly has worked on many technical systems engineering and system management programs developing transducer surveillance systems, power sources, control systems and high power electronic systems along with project and contract management.  At the EPA, Mr. Kelly has worked with radiation regulations and their implementation and most of the time climate change issues in helping to set up the registry programs such as ENERGY STAR, Clean Energy programs like Combined Heat and Power Programs, Green Power Partnerships.  Mr. Kelly works with state and local governments, private industry in the US to develop strategic plans and building codes that work to find solutions to eliminating greenhouse gas emissions while improving the standards of living of individuals who participate and community sustainability.
Mr. Kelly stays active in Climate and Earth Sciences research, occasionally writes papers, has patents both pending and processed on a wide variety of mechanical and electrical systems. Mr. Kelly received his BS and MS degrees from the University of Missouri - Rolla in 1981 and 1984 in Geology and Geophysics.  He also has attended graduate work in Electrical Engineering at the University of Missouri – Rolla (now, Missouri University of Science and Technology) and worked on a Masters Degree in Environmental Science at Pennsylvania State University-Malvern Campus.

GBCI project reviewer discusses common pitfalls and challenges in the certification process for LEED EB:O+M (1 GBCI LEED-specific credit)

 

Christopher DavisChristopher serves as the Team Lead for Existing Buildings within the Green Building Certification Institute (the arm of USGBC responsible for certifying buildings and credentialing professionals). In this role, he oversees the review of buildings to LEED for Existing Buildings: Operations & Maintenance and contributes to the development of the next version of the EB rating system as well as supporting programs such as Recertification and Volume.
